Design Showroom Assistant — Part-Time

Our part-time Showroom Assistant is a unique role for talented professionals who are personable and thrive in a creative environment. This role is ideal for individuals who look to balance personal education or other interests with an excellent part-time schedule, yet professional, work experience. Our Showroom Assistants are brand ambassadors who play an active role in supporting our design team and are focused on creating an exceptional experience while interacting with our clientele, potential clients and design professionals.

We look for professionals with a minimum of three years in a customer-centric, interior design/luxury brand environment. Our Showroom Assistants are polished and have exceptional administrative/communication skills. They are rewarded with a competitive compensation and career growth opportunities.

    Project Management

    While de Giulio has gained worldwide recognition for creative and superbly executed kitchens, we do much more, including product development and residential and commercial interior design.
    We value and encourage new ideas and collaboration as we help our clients with the challenges of creating functional and beautiful spaces for them to enjoy. It is our goal to approach each project and each design with refreshing
    new solutions and creativity.

    Project Managers work alongside Designers as a team to manage projects from start to finish. Primary responsibilities include producing specifications, technical drawings and procurement of materials and products.
    Daily interaction includes collaborating with members of our veteran design team, architects, contractors, our fabrication shops and installation teams.
    Assistance to this position is given by way of administrative services and project scheduler.

    Training:

    Job training for this position is accomplished by working on projects with our veteran design teams.
    We conduct formal weekly meetings to update our staff on recent communications, review images of our projects and share new concepts and standards.

    Education

    Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture

    Experience

    Minimum 5 years of professional design experience, preferably within the kitchen and bath industry.

    General Skills

    -Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify processes
    -Understanding of kitchen and bath industry standards, materials and appliance specifications
    -Proficient with AutoCad and preferably SketchUp or other rendering programs a plus
