The late Bob Abt asked Mick to design an area at Abt Electronics to showcase their premier appliance brands. Mick’s design transformed an 11,000 square foot space into the Abt Inspiration Studio.

Mick was recognized by the Chicago Public Library Foundation as a notable Chicago author for his books Kitchen Centric and Kitchen.

Mick was inducted into the Merchandise Mart Hall of Fame and received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to design.

Mick authored his second book, an extensive portfolio highlighting the signature elements and finishes of his innovative kitchen interiors, along with a look at some of his designs that extend beyond the kitchen.

de Giulio designed and installed the showroom at SieMatic’s New York City flagship location, and it was recognized as Showroom of the Year by K&BB magazine.

When Sub-Zero/Wolf/Cove expanded their Merchandise Mart showroom, de Giulio designed and installed the new kitchen space.

de Giulio designed SieMatic’s exhibit for Eurocucina which included Mick’s design of the new BeauxArts02.

SieMatic’s Studio am Neumarkt in Cologne, Germany was the setting for the introduction of BeauxArts02. Mick’s designs of the collection and studio vignettes were unveiled during Passagen/imm Cologne 2011.

Kallista introduced the Mick De Giulio Sink Collection, including the Multiere, Soltiere and Bacifiore sinks, at the National Kitchen and Bath Association’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) Las Vegas. The Multiere was named Best of Year for 2011 by Interior Design magazine.

Mick authored his first book, with Karen Klages Grace, that takes readers on a personally guided tour of eighteen of his favorite kitchen projects, and focuses on the idea that kitchens are more central to American home life than ever before.

In 2009, de Giulio designed and installed the kitchen for the Dream Home, the Merchandise Mart’s annual showhouse.

de Giulio designed and installed the Sub-Zero/Wolf/Cove exhibit at the National Kitchen and Bath Association’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Chicago.

Working with Meredith editors and home economists, de Giulio designed and installed the 8,000 square foot test and showcase kitchens at the publishing company’s headquarters.

Mick was recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential People in the kitchen and bath industry over the past 50 years by Kitchen and Bath Business magazine.

de Giulio designed and installed two kitchens at the Westye F. Bakke Training Center to showcase Sub-Zero/Wolf/Cove products.

Mick was inducted into the University of Illinois at Chicago Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame.

de Giulio opened a new studio on the first floor of the Merchandise Mart.

Mick’s design of the BeauxArts Collection for SieMatic was introduced in the de Giulio studio.

Mick was recognized in a ceremony in Washington D.C. for his design of the Hudson Valley Collection for SieMatic, the line selected for the renovation of the Embassy Kitchen in Blair House, the U.S. Presidential guest house.

Mick’s design of the Hudson Valley Collection for SieMatic combined traditional American style with modern German engineering.

Mick co-produced HGTV’s first series on luxury kitchens and bathrooms.

de Giulio created a kitchen space for the Tribune’s Food and Design team to test, taste and photograph all the recipes that appear in the newspaper.

Mick developed the concept and then worked with Mr. August Siekmann to design the Painter’s Collection for SieMatic.

Mick designed the Bari Collection for SieMatic —  named after the Italian city where Mick’s father was born.
